What to bring ...
- Long and short sleeve shirts
- Shorts and pants
- Tee shirt or long sleeved sweater
- Polar jacket for cooler days
- Polar or breathable pants to wear under your waders
- Baseball cap or hat
- Rainwear
- Boots or waders for fishing in a canoe & breathable waders with felt soles and belt for river fishing
- Sun cream
- Bug spray(Watkins preferred choice)
- Rod, one or two hands, to each their own. Dry fishing is easier with one hand (9ft. for line between 7 and 9 are the most used or 14 ft. for a line of 9 when using a two hand rod), either one with a floating line, a sinking line or sink tip mostly at the beginning of the season.
- Reel with a good break system, can contain a reserve of 140 m (150 yards) 20 lb. backing
- Polarized sun glasses
- Fishing vest or small light bag or knapsack
- Leader of preference is Maxima between 8 to 12 lb. test
- Box of dry and wet flies: the size of flies to use always depends on the conditions of the water and is between 2 double in deep water to 10 or 12 in shallow water. The wet flies most appreciated on our lakes are the silver rats, undertaker, green stonefly, green machines and the blue charm. Dry fly fishing is extremely exciting in our rivers because of the quality of the water. The flies the most used here are the bombers. We have a complete assortment for sale in our store.
We are also able to take your orders for equipment, clothing, flies…before your arrival and we can send them to your home or will hold them here until your arrival.
